Directions from Reno (via Auburn) - Approximately 2 Hours
Take Interstate 80 to the Elm Avenue Exit in Auburn.
Turn right at Elm Avenue.
Turn left at Highway 49.
Continue on Highway 49 for about 17 miles.
Drive through Marshall Gold Discovery State Park.
Where Highway 49 makes a sharp right turn, go straight onto Coloma Heights Road.
Slight Left at New River Road to the American River Resort.
Directions from the Sacramento Airport - Approximately 1.25 Hours
When exiting the airport, take Interstate 5 South.
Go east on Highway 50.
Continue on Highway 50 for about 30 miles.
Take the Ponderosa Road Exit (Exit #37).
Turn left to cross the freeway overpass.
Just north of the Freeway, take a right at the 2nd stoplight onto North Shingle Road (becomes Lotus Road).
After about 10 miles, you will come to a stop sign. Go straight.
You'll reach a 2nd stop sign at a T intersection with Highway 49 (about 2 miles).
Turn right at Highway 49.
Drive through Marshall Gold Discovery State Park.
Where Highway 49 makes a sharp right turn, go straight onto Coloma Heights Road.
Slight Left at New River Road to the American River Resort.
Directions from Southern California - Approximately 7 Hours
Take Interstate 5 or Highway 99 North to Sacramento.
Go east on Highway 50.
Continue on Highway 50 for about 30 miles.
Take the Ponderosa Road Exit (Exit #37).
Turn left to cross the freeway overpass.
Just north of the Freeway, take a right at the 2nd stoplight onto North Shingle Road (becomes Lotus Road).
After about 10 miles, you will come to a stop sign. Go straight.
You'll reach a 2nd stop sign at a T intersection with Highway 49 (about 2 miles).
Turn right at Highway 49.

Where Highway 49 makes a sharp right turn, go straight onto Coloma Heights Road.

Directions from South Lake Tahoe (via Placerville) - Approximately 1.25 Hours
Go west on HIghway 50.
Turn right at Highway 49 North.
Continue on Highway 49 for about 8 miles.
As Highway 49 enters Coloma and starts to make a sharp left by the old Coloma School House, turn right onto Coloma Heights Road and veer left onto New River Road.
Directions from Northern California - Approximately 1 Hour
Go south on Interstate5.
Go east on Highway 50.
Continue on Highway 50 for about 30 miles.
